Story Telling Birds Print

Story Telling Birds Print
11×14"
(.75 white border)
Printed on Canson Infinity Arches Aquarelle 310gsm Cotton Watercolour by Papermill Printhouse in Toronto.
This is a print from Jacqueline May from the group show ‘Four Play’.
This work layers the human form with birds as living emblems of voice and song. On the right hand rests the Mohua (Yellowhead), a rare South Island bird whose bright call cuts through silence. At the base, the White-eared Tailorbird unfurls, stitching together flight and rhythm. To the left, the Korimako (New Zealand Bellbird) appears, carrying its liquid notes that once filled valleys at dawn. Together, these birds echo across the face, transforming it into a chorus of memory, migration, and resilience.
The larger scale makes it a true focal point, commanding presence on the wall while offering subtle details up close.
